No. Context of the Ekko messages are between the User and their Recipient. Recipients will be notified
to agree to receive future Ekkos from that User upon Ekko creation. Upon User departure, Recipients
must agree again and will have options to consider for their mental well being.
Recipient can always opt-out before and after delivery. If opting out and more Ekko messages have yet to send, they will be stored for 365 days from the opt-out date. To retrieve remaining Ekkos, contact support@yourekko.com.
If Trusted Contacts can’t be reached, Recipients of messages will be contacted (per Client Services
Agreement section 8bii2). Ekkos with money that Recipients do not claim, and Trusted Contacts can’t be
contacted, money will go to the Company charity of choice.
700 characters that your Trusted Contact(s) will be emailed upon saving and updating.
One-time Ekkos can be scheduled for a future date or sent 72 hours after a departure is confirmed. You can choose any date from 60 days to 3 years after creation, with or without a monetary gift ($10–$1,000). Attachments up to 50 MB can be included too.
Recurring Ekkos begin sending 72 hours after a departure is confirmed at 12pm EST and repeat weekly, monthly, or yearly for up to 3 years.
YourEkko will reach out to the User before the Ekko date 30 and 15 days prior. Upon the date arrival, Trusted Contact(s) and/or Recipient(s) will be contact to confirm departure.
If Trusted Contact confirms suicide with YourEkko, messages will not be sent. It will be up to the
Trusted Contact if they want to receive all messages.
