Do Recipients see their Ekko message upon the User creating their Ekko?

No. Context of the Ekko messages are between the User and their Recipient. Recipients will be notified to agree to receive future Ekkoes from that User upon Ekko creation. Upon User departure, Recipients must agree again and will have options to consider for their mental wellbeing.

What is YourEkko charity of choice and what happens to money if Recipient isn’t alive?

The American Red Cross. If charity changes, a new charity will be for the greater good of human life in the USA. Any unclaimed money will go to charity but not until after 365 days from the initial outreach to Recipients.

What happens if all Trusted Contacts are unreachable to confirm User departure?

If Trusted Contacts can’t be reached, Recipients of messages will be contacted (per Client Services Agreement section 8bii2). Ekkoes with money that Recipients do not claim, and Trusted Contacts can’t be contacted, money will go to the Company charity of choice.

What options do Recipients have when receiving messages after User departure?

  1. View future send dates and Ekko types.
  2. Pause Ekkoes
    NOTE: Paused Ekkoes with or without money are stored for 365 days from the pause date and can be un-paused by contacting support@yourekko.com.
  3. Adjust Recurring Ekkoes

What if a Recipient phone number changes after a User has passed away but scheduled message(s) have not sent?

If a phone is lost or needs updating, YourEkko will need Recipients' phone carrier to confirm updates via email to support@yourekko.com. We encourage all Recipients, Trusted Contacts, and Users to add an email address to Ekkoes in case of phone number changes.
